From Dr. Jha:

I was honored to be a part of the Mindfulness in Defence Symposium (MINDS) hosted by the UK Ministry of Defence, with participants from 12 nations.

Our shared aim was simple and serious: to bring mindfulness-based tools to those who serve, in support of their clarity, calm, and perspective under pressure.

Thank you to Generals Magowan and Izaguirre for their leadership perspectives, to Pat Burgess for spearheading delivery of mindfulness training across UK Defence and for his invaluable partnership in assembling this gathering.

Thank you also to Valta Pashkovsky for sharing your ongoing efforts supporting the Ukrainian National Guard, Rajat singh for your groundbreaking work with the Indian Air Force on safety, land to all of those who presented and participated in today’s virtual gathering.

May our coming together across borders strengthen not only our resolve to share, collaborate, and advance mindfulness in defence, but also our collective, evidence-based toolkit of effective, feasible, and scalable training approaches.
