• Do you want to build on your experience in conducting research with human participants?
• Are you organized, motivated, and excited to work in a fast-paced lab studying real-world, high-demand populations?
• Are you a recent graduate looking to gain in-depth research experience before applying to PhD programs or medical school?

How to Apply:

Applications are due by April 20, and the anticipated start date is May 20.

Please complete both steps below.

Step 1: Complete the Jha Lab Background Form. This is the first part of the application process and helps us learn more about your background and interests.

Step 2: Complete the University of Miami application form, and upload your up-to-date CV and cover letter. Make sure your CV includes the date your bachelor’s degree was conferred. In your cover letter, include the names and email addresses of your references.

Tips for Writing a Strong Cover Letter

We recommend that your cover letter include:

• A brief description of why you would be a good match for our lab
• A summary of your prior human subject research experience
• Your long-term educational and career goals
• An overview of your computational skills (e.g., R, Inquisit, SPSS)
• Your overall GPA
• A list of relevant coursework in: cognitive neuroscience, statistics or data science, research methods in psychology or neuroscience
• Your familiarity with manualized mindfulness training programs
