Keith Chichester

My name is Keith Chichester and I am a Medical/Clinical Psychology student working in the lab of Dr. Karen Cropsey. Within the lab, I assist in maintaining our clinical trials through which we investigate the efficacy of various nicotine replacement therapies in hopes to improve smoking cessation treatments. I also help to manage our community naloxone distribution project through which we train persons who use opioids in the use of this potentially life-saving drug. My own research focuses on the use of geographic information systems to track and assess spatial patterns of a fatal drug overdose. By collaborating with the county coroner/medical examiners, my master’s thesis explored differences in rural and urban areas patterns of an overdose within the county.
